St. Maria Hospice Center

St. Maria Hospice Center has moved to a complex originally built for DR, the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, as one of their regional radio houses.

After the conversion of the old radio house there are 12 patient rooms with bathrooms. One of the focal points during the project was to combine the high practical and logistical demands with a finished house without an institutional feeling to it. The connecting corridors are done with reflective spaces, niches common rooms or visual contact with the surrounding park. There has been put thorough consideration on the materials' appearance.

The facades original character is preserved but changes in the façade openings has been made to optimize the daylight and provide direct access from the patient rooms to the park.
